Description
A zen vase and planter in two sizes, built around balance rather than decoration.
The form is drawn from Japanese ceramic proportions — a low centre of gravity, a gently rising wall and a lip that turns slightly inward, which is the detail that makes a simple pot feel resolved. Available in two measures, and the two together at different heights do more than either does alone.
What makes it worth it
- Proportions drawn from Japanese ceramic forms
- Inward-turning lip — the detail that settles the whole shape
- Two sizes, designed to sit together as a pair
- Low centre of gravity, stable even when planted tall
- Works as a vase or a planter, depending on what you put in it
- Any colour we stock; stone, sand and charcoal suit it best
Made for
- Zen, Japandi and minimal interiors
- Single stems, bonsai, moss and small succulents
- Shelves, low tables and windowsills
- Buying as a pair at both sizes
Order both measures. The pair at two heights, in one colour, is the arrangement the shape was drawn for.
Printed to order in Canada
Every Compl3x piece is printed and finished by hand in our own Canadian workshop after you order it, so nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing is mass-produced. Colour options and custom sizing are a conversation, not a no — just ask.
Care
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Use a saucer or a plastic liner if you water directly in the pot, and keep it out of hard all-day sun, which can soften the finish over a long summer.
