Age guidance is there for a reason

Articulated and multi-part designs are exactly the ones with small detachable pieces. Anything that passes through a toilet-roll tube is a choking hazard for under-threes. Read the note on the listing rather than assuming.

How they fail, and how they do not

Printed parts are tough but they fail differently from moulded ones: a bad landing on a thin section can split along a layer line rather than flex. Chunky designs survive normal play comfortably; delicate, spindly models are display pieces and we describe them that way.

Cleaning and chewing

Warm soapy water and a soft brush. No dishwasher and no solvent cleaners. These surfaces are not designed to be chewed - the layer grooves make them hard to sanitise properly, which is a hygiene point rather than a toxicity one.

Yes. The design stays on file, so a single replacement part is a small job rather than a new purchase.
