Description

A sculpted flame that sits over an LED tealight and makes the light look like it has a shape.

An LED tealight is convenient and, on its own, slightly sad — a flat plastic disc with a flicker. Drop this over it and the flicker travels up through a sculpted flame form, so what you see is a tall, moving light instead of a puck on a table. Thin-walled, so the glow passes through the whole shape rather than stopping at the base.

This piece is not sitting in a warehouse. It is produced in our own studio after you order it, in the colour shown in the photographs on this page, then finished and checked by hand before it is boxed. Custom colours are possible on request - ask us before ordering and we will tell you what we can do.

Because nothing is mass-produced in advance, quantity is not a problem. One piece and twenty pieces are the same conversation, and bulk pricing applies automatically as the number goes up.

Living with it

Use LED bulbs only. Incandescent and halogen bulbs run hot enough to soften printed materials, and that deformation is permanent. A modern LED runs barely warm, which is what makes printed shades practical at all. Dust settles in the ridges - a soft brush clears it in seconds.

Bulb colour changes this piece more than anything else. A warm bulb around 2700K reads as lamplight through a printed shade; a cool 5000K bulb reads as a fridge. Most disappointment with decorative lighting traces back to the bulb rather than the fixture.

Delivery and returns

Dispatched within one to two business days. From there it is two to three days to Ontario and Quebec, three to five to the Prairies and BC, four to six to Atlantic Canada, and longer to the territories. Delivery times for your province.

Free shipping on orders over $200. Below that it is a flat rate we do not pad, and there is never duty or a brokerage fee, because nothing crosses a border to reach you. If something arrives damaged, send us a photo and we will reprint it.
