Description
A planter built from repeating concentric ridges that step outward like a sound wave.
The ridges are evenly spaced and increase in diameter as they rise, so the pot reads as a frozen ripple. It is a simple idea executed precisely, and precision is what makes it work — the steps are regular enough that the eye follows them around the pot, and the shadow each one casts on the one below gives the surface real depth in side light.
What makes it worth it
- Concentric stepped ridges that read as a frozen ripple
- Each step shadows the one below — real depth in raking light
- Generous interior for a 5–6 inch nursery pot
- Wide, stable base under a top-heavy plant
- Matte finishes show the stepping; gloss flattens it
- Any colour we stock
Made for
- Living rooms, offices and bright windowsills
- Mid-size houseplants — pothos, ferns, peace lilies
- Rooms that need one object with pattern in it
- Pairs and trios in a single colour
Put it where light comes from one side. Lit straight on, the ridges disappear into a flat surface and you lose the entire point of the shape.
Printed to order in Canada
Every Compl3x piece is printed and finished by hand in our own Canadian workshop after you order it, so nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing is mass-produced. Colour options and custom sizing are a conversation, not a no — just ask.
Care
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Use a saucer or a plastic liner if you water directly in the pot, and keep it out of hard all-day sun, which can soften the finish over a long summer.
