Description
A 1:12 scale arched display cabinet, correct in proportion for dollhouse and diorama work.
At 1:12 the details are what give a scene away, and the usual mistake is a cabinet with panels too thick and an arch too shallow. This is drawn to scale: a properly struck arch, slim frame members, internal shelves at believable heights, and an open front so whatever you stage inside is visible. It also works simply as a tiny cabinet for tiny things.
What makes it worth it
- Drawn to true 1:12 scale, not approximately
- Correctly struck arch with slim frame members
- Internal shelves at believable in-scale heights
- Open front so a staged scene reads clearly
- Flat back, stands against a wall in a diorama or on a real shelf
- Any colour we stock; wood tones and off-white read best in scale
Made for
- Dollhouses and 1:12 scale room boxes
- Dioramas and model scenes
- Miniature collections, crystals and charms
- Model makers who care about proportion
Off-white reads as painted furniture at this scale, which is usually more convincing than a printed wood grain — grain does not scale down, but paint does.
Printed to order in Canada
Every Compl3x piece is printed and finished by hand in our own Canadian workshop after you order it, so nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing is mass-produced. Colour options and custom sizing are a conversation, not a no — just ask.
Care
Wipe clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and prolonged direct sunlight, which can dull the finish over time.
